KinRise

No teen should navigate life alone.

KINRISE

BELONG. GROW. LEAD. RISE.

No teen should navigate life alone.

KinRise is a youth leadership and wellness program for teens living with relatives and in kinship care across Cobb County.

Led by people who have lived experience in kinship care, KinRise is built from inside the community, not outside of it.

We are building a place where teens feel known, supported, connected, and ready for their future.

A place where teens can breathe.

Many teens living with grandparents, relatives, siblings, or family friends are carrying more than people realize.

Some are navigating poverty, grief, instability, anxiety, isolation, school disruption, and adult-sized responsibility too early.

Too many teens are trying to navigate overwhelming stress without consistent support, trusted adults, or spaces where they feel known.

KinRise exists so they do not have to carry it alone.

Every Tuesday night, teens experience:

  • trusted adults

  • real friendships

  • tutoring and school support

  • leadership opportunities

  • wellness support

  • outings and experiences

  • dinner together

  • a place to belong

Belonging changes futures.

Built with youth. Not just for youth.

KinRise was co-designed alongside youth, caregivers, and people with lived experience.

Youth continue shaping KinRise through leadership opportunities, listening sessions, peer leadership, and advisory roles.

We believe teens deserve programs built with them, not just around them.

What is kinship care?

Kinship care means youth being raised by grandparents, relatives, siblings, or trusted family friends instead of parents.

Thousands of teens are being raised by relatives quietly and often without the support systems they need.

KinRise was built to help change that.
